This week’s GCI Friday is about requests coming through loud and clear from our GCologists and GC Partners.

 

Namely: 

  • A desire to stay closer to what is happening across The GC Index
  • More shared learning from how others are leveraging it in their work
  • Regular opportunity to connect across our global community

You may remember GC Connect?

 

Historically, GC Connect brought our community together for a full day, typically once a year.

 

As the GC Index has grown globally, bringing everyone together in one place has become increasingly difficult. We experimented with virtual and in-person formats in different locations, but it never quite landed in a way that worked for everyone on a regular basis.

 

At the same time, requests for continued learning and connection within the GC Community have continued to grow.

 

So, we are reintroducing GC Connect in a new way. It's called GC Connect Monthly.

GC Connect Monthly will be a regular 90 minute space each month for the GC Community to come together around three core pillars:

 

  • Understanding: What is happening across the GC Index world
  • Learning: About emerging insights, applications, GC Platform and product updates
  • Connecting: With other GCologists and GC Partners globally

 

Each GC Connect Monthly session will include:

 

  • Shared insights and learning: drawn from real GC work and re-accreditations
  • Updates: on what is evolving across the GC Platform, tools and products
  • Time to connect: and have meaningful conversations with others in the community
  • Space for your voice: to shape future sessions

 

To support our global community, we will run two 90 minute session each month:

  • One morning UK time
  • One afternoon UK time

You are welcome to attend one or both.

 

Sessions will run monthly, with dates announced at the beginning of each month so you have plenty of time to plan and get them into your diary.

 

Sessions will run virtually on MS Teams (Yes, we have also listened to those who have asked us to move away from Zoom!) 

 

The inaugural GC Connect Monthly sessions will take place on: 

  • 28th January 2026 at 3pm - 4.30pm UK Time
  • 29th January 2026 at 8am - 9.30am UK Time

This is very much a community-led initiative based on the requests we have had over the last six months.

 

Your feedback, ideas, themes, and suggestions will directly shape how GC Connect Monthly evolves over time.

 

I am really looking forward to reconnecting the GC Community in this way and seeing how this space develops together.

 

Together we can make a bigger impact.
