This week I thought I would share of an example of an organisation leveraging The GC Index that has four critical projects. To protect confidentiality, the projects have been renamed to:
-
Project Titan – A cost efficiency programme
-
Project Spark – An AI innovation initiative
-
Project MergePoint – An integration of a merger
-
Project Ascend – A Market Growth initiative
The GC Index individual and team data was used as the framework for a structured review of each project.
For every project the following questions were posed for structured and honest conversation where everyone's impact is valued:
- What is the key driver of this project?
- What phase are we entering with each project?
- How does the team profile align with that phase?
- Is the project leader still the right leader in the current project phase?
- What support might the leader need from the organisation?
- What will the leader need from the team right now?
- What does the team need from the leader?
- How do we need to supplement the team as the project evolves?
The GC Index made the conversations fast, constructive and practical. Leaders could clearly see what support they needed and where the team would thrive or struggle in the next phase to deliver on tangible objectives.
If this has given you some inspiration - you can get a copy of the above slide in Resources in your GC Platform Account here
If you are preparing your teams and projects to be 'Impact Ready' for 2026 and want a quicker, clearer and more effective understanding of how everyone can make an impact at each phase, The GC Index is the essential framework.
If you would like to explore how this works in practice as always just get in touch.
Equally, I would be interested to hear how your teams deliver projects without The GC Index and how that plays out in reality. 😇
As always, keep making your best impact!
